Every woman has some hair grown on her face. So far so good. But when the hair continues to grow in excess other issue appears, such as loss of self-confidence. Because it is caused by hormonal imbalance, there is nothing you can do but to search for different ways of getting rid of it: waxing, bleaching, shaving regularly or even laser therapy. However, there are natural remedies that you can prepare at home, that have the same effect: unwanted facial hair removal.
Turmeric
Among the properties of turmeric we must remember antibacterial effect and prevention of hair growth.
Remedy: mix turmeric powder with water and apply the fluid paste on the areas with a lot of hair. Let it dry and, by using a cloth or a towel, remove the mixture.
Gram flour
In India, gram flour mixed with turmeric was said to be able to remove the unwanted hair on the face.
Remedy: combine equal quantities of turmeric and gram flour, adding some water so that you make a paste. Apply the mask on your face and let it dry for several minutes, then rub the mask and wash gently. You can also combine these two ingredients with some curd or cream for a better effect.
Sugar mix
The sugar was is a very effective way of getting rid of facial hair. Although, it may be a little painful because of its stickiness. Mixed with honey and lemon, the wax also has bleaching properties.
Remedy: mix 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tsp of honey and several drops of lemon juice and heat them for 3 minutes. Let the paste cool a little before the application. After you have spread it, cover the area with a waxing strip and pull it in the opposite direction of hair growth.
Egg mask
Similar to the sugar wax is the egg mask, it has the same properties regarding the unwanted hair.
Remedy: prepare a smooth paste by mixing the white of an egg, 1tbsp of sugar and ½ tbsp of corn flour. Apply it on the face and wait until it dries, then, pull the mask off.
These natural remedies do have a positive effect, but they do not make miracles overnight. It takes some time, several days/weeks to obtain the perfect results. However, if you are not fully satisfied you can consult a doctor in order to tell you if there are other causes of the hair growth and perhaps to prescript some medicines.
As mentioned before, the excessive growth is caused by a hormonal imbalance; to be more specific the estrogen. Consequently, it is recommended to consume foods that have the same compounds as this hormone. It has been proven that including phytoestrogen in your daily diet, reduces the facial hair growth. You can cook licorice, alfalfa, alsi, fennel or Gotu Kola along with other ingredients in your kitchen, and you will not regret that you have tried.
